I Will Miss You!

Hi Friends,

Today, Friday, August 27th was my last day working at Mariners.  I am getting married on September 11th and moving to Sherman Oaks shortly thereafter with my soon to be husband!  For those of you who I did not get to say goodbye to, I hope to run into you around campus this weekend.  If not, I want to thank you all for what an impact you have made in my life.  I have learned to trust God in all things, to listen first and speak second, and that God is Good, all the time!  Amongst, so many other things.  Thank you for your friendship, encouragement, prayers, and support.  I hope to be able to visit from time to time and see you all.  I wish you all the Lord's best.  I know He has amazing things in store for this Church and you all.

Many blessing and I hope to see you all soon!

All Church Prayer Conference- Revisions

After much prayer and a desire to be good stewards of the resources God has given us we have decided to move the Prayer Conference from Tahquitz Pines to the Chapel here on Mariners Church campus. Many of you expressed a desire to attend but were restrained by the cost. We completely understand this. Therefore by changing the venue we are able to reduce the cost to $10.00 per person. Pastor Simon Mbevi will still be joining us for this time.

Revised Event Details: Friday Aug 20th – 7pm -9 pm
Saturday Aug. 21 - 8:30am-12:00 pm*
Cost will be $10.00**

* Check In for both days will open 1/2 hour before the event begins.

** Advanced registration is appreciated however sign ups at the door are welcome.

***Please bring your bibles and a journal

Car Wash Tuesday

Car Wash Tuesday

Vicente has dropped his price on the Regular Wash to $15 for cars and $20 for SUVs.  He is here every other Tuesday and will next be on campus on July 6.  Let me know if you’d like to sign up for a wash or if you want to be added to the notification list.

Staff Star:
Amanda Richey

Amanda truly has a servant’s heart and a heart for missions. Her devotion to sharing God with other cultures and people to the point of living among them is unmatched by most. Whether it’s caring for the orphans or even going to the ends of the earth to spread the Gospel, she truly exemplifies the Great Commission in every part of her life. She is a great mother and it’s amazing watching her with her kids.

Amanda is extremely thoughtful, insightful and cares about everyone with whom she interacts. She is usually two steps ahead of others and always goes beyond the call of duty to take care of the details for the Tech Arts ministry.

Simply put, Amanda is a major blessing to everyone she meets.
